Celebrating over 50 years as one of Eastern Ontario’s airfields, the Cornwall Regional Airport is a source of local pride.
As demand for aircraft hangars has increased, additional lots have been established by the airport over the years. Private aircraft owners have trusted Lacas Drafting and Design Inc. to prepare tailored hangar drawings to meet their needs. Working alongside our trusted collaborators, we are proud to have designed several of the hangars seen at the airport today.
Virtual conversations and flexibility are a key role in the planning phase of these projects as many of the owners, quite literally, fly in from out of town. Although building permits are not required on these federal lands, the architectural drawings are prepared with the same quality and intent as they would on permitted projects.
It’s truly a memorable experience working close to a runway while planes come and go. The thought that the buildings we design protect such expensive and agile machinery is a pretty cool thought indeed!
